Shibori or indigo dying, is a Japanese craft in which fabrics are dyed blue with indigo. Indigo 11.50 in southern Lantau offers experiential workshop of shibori. By learning about the indigo plant, making the dye, pre- and post-treatment of the fabric, to crafting your own pattern for dyeing, you will look at the relationship between human, natural ingredients and indigo dyeing. The studio offers different workshop at the fee of as low as $260 per session. The fees are inclusive of instruction, dyeing, materials and fabrics.

How to get there
From downtown Tung Chung, take a New Lantao Bus no. 11 to Tai O, or no. 23 to Ngong Ping. From Mui Wo, take a New Lantao Bus no. 1 to Tai O, or no. 2 to Ngong Ping. Alight at Sha Tsui and contact Lantau Blue to pick up.
